On Saturday, October 14 churches in the Florence community will host the BLISS Ball at Calvary Baptist Church. The theme for this year’s ball is “Under the BIG TOP.” We can’t wait for this spectacular ball in honor of children and adults with special healthcare needs. There will be two separate balls that day. Children through age 15 are invited to come from 3 pm–5 pm and teens age 16 through adults are invited to attend from 6 pm-8 pm.
The BLISS Ball will be fun time with food, drinks, music, entertainment, photos and more. It is our goal to make sure that everyone has the chance to experience a worry free ball without any limit to their enjoyment. This is an amazing event in which we would love for you to participate. This event is being made possible by donations from individuals and local businesses in our area.
For guests with special needs, please fill out and mail to: BLISS Ball, 2208 Pamplico Hwy. Florence 29505 or scan registration form and email to FBALouanne@sc.rr.com. You may also call the FBA office at 843-662-5921 and register.
If you would like to volunteer to help with the BLISS Ball, please email FBALouanne@sc.rr.com or call 843.662.5921 and talk to Louanne. We always can use some youth to dance with our guests, just be sure you let Louanne know how many are coming. We don’t want to overwhelm the guests with too many volunteers. This is a great project for earning service hours.
There are also many opportunities long before BLISS Ball to help make decorations – contact Louanne 843-662-5921 to be put on the email list. We will be decorating on Thursday, October 12 from 6 pm-8 pm. If the work is not completed then we will work on Friday, October 13 from 4 pm until we are finished. We can ALWAYS use help cleaning up after the last Ball on Saturday, October 14 at 8 pm.
